Abu Dhabi (Gulf Inside) According to the details, the phase three clinical trial of the corona virus vaccine included in the list of the World Health Organization has started in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Hamad, chairman of the health department, became the first volunteer to administer the vaccine in the third phase.

After Sheikh Abdullah, the acting secretary will be vaccinated on an experimental basis.The first vaccination of the two dignitaries is an expression of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to finding a cure for the global disease.

The trial of the corona vaccine has started with collaboration between Abu Dhabi-based company G42 and Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinoform. The trial is being run by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health and the Ministry of Health. Vaccine experiences are inspired by the UAE leadership’s vision of tackling the epidemic through joint global efforts.

The partnership aims to speed up the delivery of vaccines to UAE residents through the production of vaccines in Abu Dhabi.

The third phase of the experiments was performed on volunteers aged 18 to 60 from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. And these experiments lasted for three to six months. Previous Phase 1 and Phase 2 experiments have been conducted in China. In view of the best results, the third phase of experiments has been started in the United Arab Emirates.

Why was the UAE chosen for these experiments?
There are about 200 nationalities living in the UAE. Therefore, it has been selected for Phase III experiments due to the diverse population of the UAE. The vaccine will be tested on several generations to determine if the vaccine is suitable for global use or not.
