Residents of Ras Al Khaimah, the emirate of the United Arab Emirates, were shocked two days ago when her father reported to the police station that his 13-year-old daughter had gone missing, who was at home but suddenly disappeared.The father suspected that the girl had been abducted. The news also raised concerns among social media users and prayers were offered for the girl’s recovery.
There are also rumors that the girl has been abducted for ransom. However, Ras al-Khaimah police have solved the case regarding the abduction of the girl. According to the police, the girl was not abducted by anyone, but she ran away from home voluntarily and went to Sharjah.
Ras al-Khaimah police tracked down the girl with the help of Sharjah police, after which she was handed over to her parents again.
Ras Al Khaimah Police Director General of Police Operations Brigadier Abdullah Ali Minakhas said the girl’s father suspected she had been abducted. Police initially launched an investigation along these lines. However, she later found out that she was angry with her parents over something, after which she quietly left home and went to Sharjah without telling anyone. She left voluntarily, no one forced her to leave the house.
Brigadier Menakhas said the most misleading and embarrassing news about the incident was spread on social media, and those involved would be prosecuted under the Cyber Crimes Act. People should be careful in sharing any post on social media. Murdering someone and spreading false information about it is a serious crime.
