It is said that the granddaughter of the last caliph of the Ottoman Caliphate also offered Friday prayers in Aya Sofia.

The last caliph of the Ottoman Caliphate was Sultan Abdul Hamid II, whose granddaughter Nalhan Usman still resides in Turkey. Nalhan Usman arrived in Sofia today to offer Friday prayers and remained the center of attention.
