Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity market reached SAR 16.3 billion in 2025, according to a new report released by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) on October 14, 2026. The report points to continued growth in demand for digital security products and services across government and private businesses.
The NCA’s report, Key Economic Indicators in the Cybersecurity Sector 2026, says the market grew at a compound annual growth rate of 10.7% between 2023 and 2025.
Private businesses account for 69% of market spending
Private-sector organisations spent SAR 11.2 billion on cybersecurity products and services in 2025, equal to 69% of the market, the authority reported. Government entities accounted for approximately SAR 5.1 billion, or 31%.
The figures indicate that cybersecurity spending is spread across both public institutions and private companies, as organisations invest in protecting systems, networks, data and digital services.
Cybersecurity sector contributed SAR 20 billion to GDP
The report estimates that the cybersecurity sector’s contribution to Saudi Arabia’s GDP at current prices reached about SAR 20 billion in 2025. This represented a compound annual growth rate of 13.2% from 2023 to 2025.
Cybersecurity product and service providers contributed SAR 9.7 billion directly, while indirect contributions were estimated at SAR 10.3 billion. Together, these contributions represented 0.42% of the Kingdom’s total GDP and 0.71% of GDP from non-oil activities, according to the NCA.
More than 22,000 cybersecurity professionals
The NCA said Saudi Arabia had more than 22,000 cybersecurity professionals in 2025, with the workforce growing at an approximate annualised rate of 5.9% between 2023 and 2025. Women represented 33% of the workforce, above the global average of approximately 22% cited in the report.
Products and services in demand
Cybersecurity products accounted for SAR 8.3 billion, or 51% of market spending, while services accounted for SAR 7.9 billion, or 49%. The report identified endpoint security and management, network security, cybersecurity operations solutions, system integration and data security among the key product and service areas.
The report was prepared using input from public- and private-sector stakeholders, academic institutions and cybersecurity professionals. The NCA said the study follows international methodologies for classifying cybersecurity activities and measuring the sector’s performance.
What the figures mean
The new figures offer a snapshot of the scale of Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity industry and the role it plays in the country’s digital economy. The data covers 2025 and should not be read as a measurement of spending in 2026.
