Why the rate shown may differ from a Dubai jewellery shop
International spot prices are wholesale-market reference prices for gold. A jewellery shop’s displayed rate can reflect local retail pricing, the time of the quote, the product’s purity, and the retailer’s pricing policy. The final price of a finished jewellery item may also include making charges, design premiums, gemstones and applicable taxes.
Use the calculator as a quick estimate of the metal value, not as a guaranteed purchase price or investment recommendation. Rates can change while markets are open, and the feed may be temporarily unavailable.
How gold purity affects price
- 24K: approximately 99.9% gold; commonly used as the high-purity reference.
- 22K: approximately 91.67% gold, often used for jewellery.
- 21K: approximately 87.5% gold.
- 18K: 75% gold, with the remaining alloy metals affecting strength and colour.

Does the calculator include making charges?

Why can two shops quote different prices?
Retailers may update at different times and can apply different making charges, margins or product premiums. Ask for a written breakdown before purchasing.
