Earthquake now los angeles : A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck the Malibu area Friday afternoon, felt around 2:15 p.m. Tremors were felt in parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
People reported light to moderate shaking in other areas, including Malibu, Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, South Bay, Long Beach, and the San Fernando Valley.
An aftershock of magnitude 1.8 was also felt shortly after. Fortunately, no damage or injuries were reported.
Experts say such small earthquakes are common in California, and the situation is being monitored.
