Academic Excellence and Cultural Immersion: The Advantages of Studying in UAE

Studying in UAE: Education in the UAE is one of the priority development courses of the country. Leading schools and universities of Great Britain, Australia, and Europe open campuses here. Among them are Cambridge school, University of Birmingham, Sorbonne University, and others. Students subsequently have the opportunity to transfer to major campuses of top universities.

The United Arab Emirates is an international country. There are more expats than natives, with only 20% of the population being Emirati. That’s why international students can find suitable study programs at schools and universities in the Emirates.

Education System in the UAE

Education in the UAE is prestigious and efficient. This is true for high school as well as for universities and specialized courses, including language courses.

The system of education in the UAE includes several stages. A child begins to learn literacy, numeracy and arithmetic in kindergarten, followed by primary and preparatory school, secondary school, vocational schools, and university.

Education is free for UAE citizens at all levels up to university. Foreigners can study only in private schools for a fee. However, every student has the opportunity to apply for academic scholarship in UAE, which cover from 5% to 100% of the cost of the program.

Education in public schools or universities in the UAE is cheaper, but teaching there is conducted mainly in Arabic. A lot of time is devoted to the study of the Koran, Islamic culture, and boys and girls study separately from each other. Private schools teach according to European and international standards, children study in mixed classes and study secular disciplines, so most parents choose them.

Secondary Education in the UAE

Foreigners in the Emirates almost always study in private secondary schools. The most popular standards of education are British A Levels, American high school diploma, International Baccalaureate (IB) Plus. It is also possible to study in the UAE by European, Indian, Russian, and Asian standards. Teaching is conducted in the language of the program: for example, the French International Baccalaureate is taught, respectively, in French.

Most schools use British, Canadian and American programs, so the main language of instruction in the UAE is English. In all schools at least three languages are obligatory: English and Arabic and one more foreign language (French, German, Spanish or Chinese).

Children study together until 7th grade, after that some schools separate boys and girls into different classes.

Higher Education in the UAE

Emirates diplomas are recognized all over the world. Branches of European and Asian universities award diplomas to graduates without specifying the place of issue, and they have the same validity as diplomas obtained in the university’s home country.

Universities in the UK, USA, Germany, Spain, France, Australia and Russia have opened branches in the UAE. Almost all campuses of foreign universities are concentrated in academic towns, the so-called free economic zones – in Dubai it is Knowledge Village and Academic City, in Sharjah – University City.

Universities in the Emirates cooperate with secondary schools and negotiate automatic enrolment of children upon graduation. If a child attends a British-American school, he has several British or American universities where he can be enrolled immediately, without examinations and tests.

Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in the UAE

It is possible to obtain a bachelor’s degree in three to four years, a master’s degree — in two to three years, and a doctoral degree  in the UAE. Admission to university is based on the results of entrance examinations/tests, the availability of a secondary education document and the level of knowledge of a foreign language. Tuition for students from abroad who want studying in UAE, in both private and public universities, is not free of charge.

Many essay writing services provide help to students and professionals in UAE who want assistance with their academic or business writing tasks. These essay writers often have expertise in a variety of subjects and can produce high-quality, original content, and cheap papers for their clients.
