Editor’s note: This guide separates confirmed information from models and details Apple has not announced. Prices and availability checked on 14 October 2026.
Apple’s September 2026 launch brought the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max to UAE stores. The regular iPhone 18 and an iPhone 18 Plus were not announced at the event, so there are no confirmed UAE prices, colours or full specifications for either model. Reports point to a possible spring 2027 launch for the standard model, but Apple has not confirmed a date.

iPhone 18 series: what is actually available?
The key distinction for buyers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE is that the Pro models are official and on sale. The standard iPhone 18 has not been announced, and Apple has not announced an iPhone 18 Plus. Do not treat leaked specifications, concept images or retailer listings for unannounced models as confirmed product details.

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max UAE price
Apple’s UAE store lists the iPhone 18 Pro from AED 5,099 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max from AED 5,499 for 256GB. Higher storage options are available, with the Pro line extending to 2TB. Apple’s UAE online store lists the 256GB Pro Max at AED 5,499, 512GB at AED 6,349, 1TB at AED 8,049 and 2TB at AED 10,599. Prices can change with storage, retailer offers and trade-in deals, so check Apple UAE before buying.

Colours: Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy
Apple confirms four finishes for both Pro models: Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy. Burgundy is the standout new shade, while Glacier is a pale blue finish. These are official colours for the Pro models only. Apple has not confirmed colours for a standard iPhone 18 or iPhone 18 Plus.

Display and design
The iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display, while the Pro Max uses a larger 6.9-inch display. Both have ProMotion, an always-on display and a redesigned, smaller Dynamic Island that can show up to three Live Activities. The Pro models use an aluminium unibody with Ceramic Shield protection on the front and back.
Processor, performance and software
Both phones run on Apple’s A20 Pro chip, built using a 2-nanometre process, with a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU and a 32-core Neural Engine. Apple says the GPU can be up to 40% faster than the previous generation in its stated comparison. A new vapour-chamber cooling system is designed to help sustain performance during demanding gaming, video work and AI tasks. The phones ship with iOS 27 and support Apple Intelligence, although feature availability depends on language and region.
Camera upgrades: variable aperture is the headline
The main camera is a 48MP Fusion unit with variable aperture, giving users more control over light and depth of field than a fixed-aperture camera. The Camera app adds Pro controls for aperture, shutter speed, white balance and a histogram. Apple also highlights improvements to low-light photos, Photographic Styles, video effects and Audio Mix. Both Pro models include a 48MP Pro Fusion camera system; the larger Max is aimed at people who want the biggest screen and longest battery life as well as advanced camera tools.

Battery life and charging
Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro Max offers up to 45 hours of video playback, its longest battery life on an iPhone to date. The smaller Pro is rated lower, as expected from its size. These are Apple’s lab estimates, not a guarantee of real-world screen time; brightness, signal strength, camera use, gaming and background activity all affect battery life.
Storage and connectivity
Both Pro models come in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities. Apple says the new N1 wireless chip supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, while its C2 modem brings updated cellular connectivity. UAE versions are eSIM-only, so buyers who rely on a physical SIM should confirm compatibility and eSIM activation with their operator before purchasing, especially when travelling.
iPhone 18 vs 18 Plus vs 18 Pro vs 18 Pro Max: which should you choose?
At present, only the Pro and Pro Max can be compared using confirmed iPhone 18-generation specifications. The table below avoids guessing about unannounced models.
| Feature | iPhone 18 | iPhone 18 Plus | iPhone 18 Pro | iPhone 18 Pro Max |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Official announcement | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Display | Unconfirmed | Unconfirmed | 6.3-inch OLED | 6.9-inch OLED |
| Chip | Unconfirmed | Unconfirmed | A20 Pro | A20 Pro |
| Rear camera | Unconfirmed | Unconfirmed | 48MP Pro Fusion system with variable-aperture main camera | 48MP Pro Fusion system with variable-aperture main camera |

| UAE starting price | Not confirmed | Not confirmed | AED 5,099 | AED 5,499 |
Buying advice: Choose the iPhone 18 Pro if you want flagship cameras and performance in a more manageable size. Choose the Pro Max if you prefer a larger screen and the strongest battery-life rating. If your priority is a lower price, wait for Apple to announce the standard model rather than relying on rumoured pricing. There is no confirmed iPhone 18 Plus to recommend at this stage.
Should UAE buyers upgrade now?
For owners of older iPhones who need a phone now, the Pro models are available through Apple UAE and authorised retailers. Owners of a recent Pro model may want to compare camera controls, battery life and the higher starting price against their actual needs. Check eSIM support, storage requirements, warranty terms and the final checkout price before paying.
