By GulfInside | Updated 21 October 2026. The UAE’s five-year multiple-entry tourist visa is designed for travelers who want to make repeated visits without applying for a separate short-term tourist visa for every trip. Dubai’s immigration authority publishes the eligibility rules and an itemized fee schedule.
Quick facts
- Validity: five years from issuance.
- Sponsor: no UAE guarantor or host is required under the published service.
- Passport: at least six months’ validity.
- Financial evidence: six months of bank statements and proof of a USD 4,000 balance or equivalent over the preceding six months.
- Travel documents: round-trip ticket and UAE-valid health insurance.
- Stay: generally 90 days in a year, extendable for a similar period subject to an overall 180-day annual maximum.
What does the five-year visa cost?
GDRFA’s published fee breakdown lists AED 100 application fee, AED 500 issuance fee, AED 3,000 financial guarantee, AED 21 guarantee service fee, AED 20 guarantee collection and return fee, AED 10 Knowledge Dirham, AED 10 Innovation Dirham and AED 52.50 service fee. The service page gives a total of approximately AED 3,713. Verify the exact payable amount when applying because additional conditions can affect charges. The guarantee is not the same as the nonrefundable government processing fees.
Does the bank balance have to be USD 4,000?
GDRFA requires evidence of USD 4,000 or equivalent in other currencies during the six months preceding application. Applicants should prepare complete, genuine bank statements and follow the service’s instructions; a fabricated statement can jeopardize an application.
How long can you stay?
According to GDRFA, stays may be continuous or intermittent and ordinarily cannot exceed 90 days per year, with a similar extension possible up to 180 days in that year. The authority states that unused days do not carry over to the next year and defines the year from the date of first entry. Travelers should request an official travel movement report if they are uncertain about days used.
If you are comparing repeat visits with a single holiday, review the 30-day and 60-day Dubai tourist visa fees. For a resident-hosted visit, see the separate family and friend visit visa salary requirements; the application routes have different conditions.
