By GulfInside | Updated 21 October 2026. Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) publishes tourist visa service fees that differ from the total price quoted by an airline or travel agency. Here is how to compare them accurately.
Dubai tourist visa fees at a glance
| Visa category | 30 days | 60 days |
|---|---|---|
| Single entry | AED 200 | AED 300 |
| Multiple entry | AED 300 | AED 500 |
GDRFA lists 5% VAT in addition to these fees. The figures are base service charges and not guaranteed all-inclusive application prices. The relevant service pages say fees can vary by circumstances. If the applicant is already inside the UAE, additional in-country charges may apply.
What documents are required?
GDRFA lists a personal photograph, passport copy and, for applicants from Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, an identity card from the home country. Its terms also require a passport valid for at least six months, an onward or departure ticket and UAE-valid medical insurance.
How long does a Dubai tourist visa take?
The official service pages show an expected completion time of 48 hours. This is a service target, not a guaranteed issuance date. Submit complete documents early and avoid nonrefundable arrangements until the application is approved.
Who can apply?
For these tourist visa categories, GDRFA says accredited tourism offices in Dubai handle issuance. Check whether your airline or agency is authorized and obtain a receipt. Visa approval remains subject to immigration checks.
Choose the application route before comparing prices: our guides explain resident-sponsored family and friend visits and the five-year multiple-entry tourist visa. Pakistani applicants should also review the nationality-specific identity-document checklist.
How to compare visa quotes
- Ask whether the quote is for single or multiple entry.
- Check whether it covers 30 or 60 days.
- Request a breakdown of government charges, VAT, insurance and agency fees.
- Confirm the refund policy in writing.
- Verify the permit through official immigration channels after issuance.
FAQs
Is the AED 200 fee the final 30-day visa price?
No. GDRFA identifies it as a base single-entry tourist visa fee plus VAT. Agency and other applicable charges can change the final quote.
Is there a security deposit?
The current GDRFA pages for these tourist categories say no security deposit is charged for this visa type. Other visa categories can have different requirements.
Can a tourist visa be extended?
GDRFA lists related renewal and extension services. Eligibility, fees and permitted stays depend on the specific visa and circumstances; verify them before the visa expires.
